TRAVELLING TO CHRISTMAS ISLAND?

Christmas Island is an Australian Territory that departs from an International Airport with no Passport requirement other than id such as drivers licences.

It is however recommended to bring a passport should the Aircraft be diverted to Jakarta to wait for bad weather to clear over Christmas Island or emergency’s.

Christmas Island is an Australian Territory so no visa is required for travel from the mainland. If travelling from outside Australia, please check with the Department of Home Affairs at www.homeaffairs.gov.au for requirements.
